Kylann's in the Army

So Kylann left for Basic Training for the Army in April. He was there for 2 1/2 months. :o(

Shaving before he left. He had a bit of fun with it. LOL

His "swearing in" ceremony the day he left
Our last family picture before he left...

Saying goodbye to daddy. He had to leave
quickly, so we didn't really have a whole lot
of time to take more pictures.

Basic was difficult for him, mostly physically. But it got lots easier at the end. He did great! And he lost 20lbs in the process. It's weird seeing him without a belly. Oh yeah, I got to go out to his graduation and see him. It was a much needed trip and I'm so glad I went. My mother in-law came and stayed with the boys for me so I could go. He was VERY happy that I came and we had some good quality time together. It was weird not having my monkeys around, but it good break as well. Here are some pictures from his training...

Grenade training
He said there was hardly anyone that could do the rope
climbing. Tough stuff. I know I couldn't have done it.

Obstacle course

Scanned from his yearbook
Picture taken at church. It was weird
to see him almost bald, but I got
used to it fast.

Here are some pictures from my trip out to his graduation...

This is how they came up to great the family on family
day. They marched over to an area in the parking lot.
I couldn't find him at all until he whistled.

Graduation

I had major camera issues and couldn't get any good
pictures in the auditorium. :o( Not to mention everyone
kept getting in the way so I couldn't see either.
That's him to the left of that camera being held up.

Officially a soldier!

Proud Army Wife

All the "Mormons" in his company. ;o)

Our last goodbye and picture together.
So proud of my soldier!
The boys chillin out on the lawn eating cucumbers.
A HUGE thank you to my mother in-law,
Jolene for flying out to watch the boys
so I could go to Kylann's graduation.
The boys had a blast and they miss
her so much!!

He is at AIT right now. I won't see him for another 5 months. :o( Unless we can find a way to make a trip out there.
