Penrod's Play Pen: Kyler's First Birthday

I don't think I ever posted Kyler's birthday party. (If I did, please let me know, cause I can't find it). We debated back and forth whether we should have a party for either of the boys, just because of money and a place to have it. But I have a really hard time letting their birthdays go without having one. My mom always had one for us growing up and it's just something I wanted to do. I know neither of them would really remember it being as young as they are, but I still wanted to have one for them.

Anyway, so a month or so before Kyler's birthday came around, our complex came out that they were no longer going to charge to use the clubhouse they have. It was normally $200 to rent it out. Ridiculous for what you got!! So we got lucky with that part of it. And then we found a way to make it cheaper with the food. We decided to only invite family and a couple of close friends. It was a lot of fun and we really appreciate everyone that came to celebrate with us. Kyler LOVED all of his gifts and of course his cake!

We had a small party when my mom was out here in March. I'm not sure I ever blogged about that either. Man, I'm really behind. We were so happy to be able to celebrate it while my mom was here. Thanks for the cake and the gifts, mom! We miss you!!
