Well, on May 3rd, my little boy turned three years old!! Three years ago I went through 41 hours of labor to bring this little man into the world. He was 8lbs 9 1/2oz and 21 in long and born exactly on his due date.

We feel very blessed to have him in our lives. He cracks us up all the time. I just wish I had some of his energy. Just a little.
He is now over 35lbs and I can't remember his height. I do remember that right now he's in the 75th percentile for his height and 50th for his weight. So he's a tall kid right now and average weight. He's still our skinny boy and we have to struggle with him to eat a lot of the time.
Just within the last 2-3 weeks he's really had a bit of a breakthrough with his speech. He's finally been putting 4-5 word sentences together. And he's really tries to say certain things. He gets quiet when he doesn't know a word too well and we always have to ask him to speak up a little. But he's doing really well. I don't know if it's the speech therapy that's helping him or just us encouraging him all the time. Maybe little of both. He has finally started saying Grandma (Gamma) and Grandpa (Papa). He also calls my mom Nana.
He's still a stinker to his little brother, but there are some moments when he is so sweet to him.
He is getting a little bit better with sharing. He's learning to wait for toys when his brother is playing with them, but that's still a work in progress. I can always tell when he's bugging Kyler when I hear a blood curdling scream from his little brother. Haha! (Something we're trying to work on with Kyler too).
He loves to pretend to scare. He goes up to Kyler a lot and says, "RAAARRRR!" Kyler loves it. It's too cute! (I think he gets that from his mother).
His favorite "toy" is the I-Pod. We loaded a whole bunch of toddler apps on it and he loves to interact with them. His favorites are the puzzles. He's actually very good at puzzles and loves to work on them. (Got that from Grandma Penrod I think).
He still refuses to nap anymore. But by late afternoon it's obvious he really could have used one. By then, it's too late for him to nap. There have been several times where I've given him a "timeout" in his room, left him in there for no more than 3-5 minutes and come in to him like this....
I hate waking him up, but if we don't he wouldn't get to sleep at night until at least midnight. So I use someone else to wake him for me....
He definitely keeps us on our toes. And I think he was put into our lives to make us better people. To teach us patience and love just a little bit better. Let me tell you, he does try that patience with us an awful lot! But we couldn't imagine our lives without him. We love our little Chase Bug so much!! :o)

ahhh!! I love these boys so much. I love Chase patting Kyler's back and Kyler trying to play with Chase while he's sleeping. They are so adorable.
