Penrod's Play Pen: May 2019

5/5/2019 - So we were a little irreverent in church today in the foyer.

Elan was so loopy when we first got there. It was hilarious! I missed most of it, but got this cute video of some of it.

5/6/2019 - On Friday, the 3rd, Chase turned 11! He loves science, history and art in school. He loves his video games and really wants to play soccer this next year. He has a huge heart and is always wanting to make or buy gifts for people. He tells me all the time he wants to sell stuff to make money to help us with bills.

He is hitting the pre-teen stage which also comes with the attitude.

He has learned to swim better this year and loves to swim in the deep end. He is also learning to cook and takes a cooking class at school. This boy has grown up a lot this year and is learning new things every day. He also has had a lot more responsibilities. Especially with helping to watch his younger brothers (so mom doesn't go insane). He LOVES his baby brother and is always picking him up and playing with him. We love you Chase and love watching you learn as you get older. Please continue to try and make good choices. Happy Birthday bud!

5/6/2019 - On Friday, we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for Chase's birthday. It's his absolute favorite restaurant! Usually he makes a big mess when he eats there, so I had to take a before and after shot. He was a lot cleaner this time compared to other years.

5/15/2019 - He's been crawling for months, he will be a year old next week and he has finally been doing this on his own for the past two days!! Maybe we'll get a couple steps in before his birthday.

5/15/2019 - Have kids they say...It'll be fun they say...

Don't let the cleaner one fool you. He was the instigator. And he is the one who got a lot of the mud on Cayden, so he could blame someone. So sorry to anyone who heard me yelling at them outside. It had already been a hard day and then this happens. I'm done adulting today.

5/17/2019 - Outpatient surgey for this one today. He is not liking not being able to eat. He had Orchiopexy surgery. He has an undescended testicle.

5/17/2019 - Elan's surgery went well! Everything looked great! We are home. He is pretty groggy still and just wants to cuddle. I tried to sit him up to wake him and he was so out! When he did wake up, he tried pulling all the cords. lol I stayed a couple of hours, rested with him and enjoyed the "quiet". At least as quiet as a hospital can be. 

The video was before they took him back for surgery. I let him hold my phone to calm him down(he was hungry and tired). He started getting loopy. He would throw his head back laughing when I told him not to put it in his mouth. It cracked me up.

5/23/2019 - So it's officially over, but my sixth and last baby turned a year old "today." This little man has such a sweet spirit. He is goofy, happy and definitely the favorite in the family. He is a Daddy's boy all the way. But I can still tug on his heart strings at times. He has been standing on his own for a little while now, but just won't take those steps. He loves solid food and can get pretty darn hangry at times. He LOVES his big brothers and is always smiling and laughing at them. He is still having a hard time sleeping through the night. So I am in a constant state of exhaustion. Despite that, we love this little man so much! Happy Birthday baby!!

We had a campfire one night. Kylann burned his College Algebra papers cause he finally passed the class.

Chase and Kyler had the opportunity with their Charter school, to take Taekwondo. This was the last day where they got to break a board. I am so upset, I didn't record Chase's.

I'm so confused. Which price is it??

We decided to make a trip out to Tucson for the annual Kleese reunion. We surprised everyone except for my MIL. Kylann's grandma was so happy to see us. She had never met our last two babies. It had been too many years since we visited them. Since it was around Memorial day weekend, we literally could not find a hotel room at all on the way there. We like to break up our trip with the kids. We (mostly Kylann) drove all through the night. Everyone was tired and cranky! We dropped the kids who were wide awake off at Grandma's and Kylann, Elan and I headed back to the hotel for a much needed nap.

Before we left Travin asked if we could take these cookies on our "field trip." LOL

Kylann and I stopped at Hoggie House to get a meatball grinder. Kylann was in food Heaven.

"No, you can't make the bird alive again." My husband, "Would you stop playing with the dead bird?"

They found a dead humming bird in a fountain at Grandma's apt complex. 
  

Grandma put it in a bag for them?

UPDATE: "No, Cayden. You can't bring the dead bird to breakfast." 
 (We are at a hotel)

That bag got "lost" in the trash shortly after. Yuck!! 

We stayed at our friends' Anna and Jeff's house. Our boys had a great time!

"No, you're not going to watch your brother go potty."

He wears a diaper. We are on a car trip and everyone was taking a pee break. He really just wanted to get out of the car. lol

I will never understand how they get so much cuter when they are asleep.

The hotel we stayed at on the way home didn't have a bath tub. Believe it or not, this is the first and only time I've ever given one of my kids a bath in the sink.

Since it was Elan's birthday, we decided to get a giant cupcake and sing Happy Birthday to him. I think he was pretty tired cause he didn't get into it too much. But I got my first birthday pictures.

My sister and her family moved close to Tucson. Since this was a really quick trip to go to the reunion we didn't think we would have time to visit her. But I convinced Kylann to stay one more day so we spent the night at her house before we headed back home the next day.
