A Special Day...

One year ago today, we welcome our little man Kyler Jasin into the world. And Chase became a big brother. He has been such a joy and blessing for us! This little guy is so mellow, though he has his moments. Especially when his big brother constantly picks on him. But my favorite is when I hear them laughing together. It's the sweetest sound in the world in my opinion.





He, like his brother, took almost a year before he finally slept through the night. Actually he's still not consistent with it. I'm sure I look like a zombie most days since I average 4 hours of sleep a night. Oh well, their worth it, right?


He started rolling over on his back just before he was two weeks old! Little stinker! He's always just been wanting to get up and go. He took his first steps at 9 1/2 months but didn't full on start walking exclusively until about a month later. Now, he's pretty much running! Haha! He's got to keep up with his brother, right?

They love the ipod!

Man, can this kid eat!! Most of the time, he out eats his brother! It's crazy how much he fits in that little belly of his! He can pack in a whole slice and a half of pizza or a whole sloppy joe sandwich! It amazes me! I can only imagine what he's going to be like once he's a teenager! I hope we're making better money than we are now, or else he's gonna put us in the poor house. Haha!

He's a very messy eater too! But food really is a way to this little man's heart. :o)

Any time daddy gets a snack and sits down on the couch, Kyler comes running! Haha! See his chubby little reaching up for the food. (I took this picture cause I was teasing Kylann on how much strawberry shortcake he had. He claims it wasn't that much since it was angel food cake and strawberries and they don't have much fat content. Haha! Man that plate so SO full).

This little dare devil loves to climb!! Little stinker! Luckily he is surprising careful and hasn't really had too many big falls. Don't worry, momma is always there watching him. He is actually pretty careful when he gets down from things. Surprisingly. His favorite thing lately is climbing up on the couch. Chase likes to take the couch cushions off and use the surface for his cars. Kyler loves to climb up on it, which doesn't make Chase happy most of the time. But then Chase will jump up and down on the couch, which gets them both laughing. It doesn't bother me, (since our couch is falling apart already) until they start fighting over a toy. Haha! I'm sure I'll have to put up with that for many years to come though.

Awe! Unfortunately, he is losing this baby fat. My little chub-a-lub is no longer very chubby. He's solid though! I think he's got a lot of muscle.

He is a little tester. When he sees something he's not suppose to touch, like the t.v. remotes, he goes right up to them and puts his hand out and watches us with a big smile on his face. Gosh, he's so stinkin cute, it's so hard to discipline him! He'll also hold his cup over the edge of his high chair as he's watching us. Right when we're telling him no, he drops it! Ugh! Haha!

My favorite thing about this boy, besides his adorable smiles and giggles, is, he's a cuddlier. I love it when he comes up to me if I'm sitting down and just rests his head on my legs. It's so sweet! He's also learned how to give kisses. And sometimes he does it without me asking for one. It just makes my heart melt. I love this little man so much. I only hope that I can do the best I can as a mother. Happy Birthday, Kyler! We all love you SO much!
