37 Weeks Today

It's been awhile since my last post, so I thought I would update, even though nothing new has happened recently.

As of today I am 37 weeks along and officially full term with my pregnancy. All I can say is I'm SO uncomfortable. I don't remember it being like this so much with Chase, but I'm sure it was. This baby still moves around a lot and gets the hiccups at least three times a day...which is so annoying! :o) I'm still pretty nervous about doing a water birth since I won't have any drugs. But I know as long as I have the faith, I can get through it. I plan on getting a blessing from my husband to help me get through it.

This is the only picture I was able to take. My digital camera seems to be sick. :o(

Chase was going through a stage for a few weeks where he was especially needy and whiny. It could have been the sickness he had for over a week, but it didn't seem to change much once he got better. Though I have to say within the last couple of weeks, he's been pretty darn good. I'm thinking he might be finally starting to understand things better. He tries to say words a lot more now and I've been trying to work with him to say certain things.

Here are some words that he says pretty clearly:
Ball
Daddy or Da
Momma (he doesn't say it too often though)
No
Shoe
Ew
Bye
Uh Oh (He says this ALL the time)
Mine

Here are some words that he tries to say:
Juice - "Ju Ju" (Or in other words any drink that's in his cup).
Grandma - "Mae mae"
Trash - "Tra" (For some reason he whispers this...lol).
Bath - "Ba"
Please - "Me"

Here are words he knows sign language for:
Ball
Shoes
Drink
Table
Chair
Baby
Bath
Please
Thank You
I love you (though it looks like "loser"...lol)
Bear
Brush teeth

I'm sure there's more that I'm forgetting, but I'll add them later if there are. He is very smart and I think he gets bored too easily because of it. I can't seem to keep him entertained. Though he has been starting to play with Mega Blocks (the right way). He used to just knock them over whenever we would build something. Now he actually tries to build stuff on his own. I think Kylann is excited about that. He LOVES Lego's himself and used to always talk about how he couldn't wait to play Lego's with his son. I hope he will find lots more things to do to keep himself entertained when this baby comes. I'm worried that I won't be able to give him the attention he needs and that he will get very jealous and clingy. I'm know it will eventually go away, but I just hope it doesn't last long if he is that way. But he could surprise me, who knows.

Here are some random photos that I've taken the past few months. Some are not very good quality at all. They were taken with my phone since my camera is now shot.

Haha! This was too funny. We made homemade ice cream a few weeks ago and Chase was so fascinated by it. He would put his face up to it and feel the vibrations while he watched it spin. Not sure what he's doing with his mouth in the pic though. Weirdo.

My cutie bug playing at our little playground in our apartment complex.

Chase is addicted to popcorn. This is him and Kylann finishing a container of "Christmas" popcorn he got from a client. But anytime Daddy brings out the popcorn machine Chase starts squealing! He loves to watch it pop. And then when he knows it's done, he will run over to the couch, sit down and wait for Daddy to bring the big bowl. It's so cute!

He LOVES getting his picture taken now.

I let Chase take a shower with me one day and I think that was a big mistake. He wants to take showers ALL the time now. He LOVED playing in the water. And it took me forever to get him out. He just screamed and cried every time I tried. It was pretty fun to watch him though. He had a blast!

Uncle Blaine gave him his old childhood stuffed monkey before he left on his mission over a year ago. Chase loves it! It has velcro on the hands and he always wants us to put it around his neck. It's so cute.

Playing with his tongue. :o)

In other news, I'm having a baby shower on March 13th. Evites have been sent out. If you didn't get one, PLEASE let me know. There seems to be a few people that didn't get one for some reason. There are also invitations getting mailed out. There are also some of you whom I didn't have email addresses for so that's another reason you may not have gotten one. But if I have your address you will be getting one in the mail. I would LOVE to see you all, but I understand if you can't make it. Please let me know if you would like to go, but didn't get an invite for some reason. You are totally welcome!

I probably won't be posting anything else until the baby is here. Unless there is some other exciting thing that happens in my life in between. :o) So I hope everyone is doing well! I hope to hear from you all more!

oh my, we had the same problem with showers! I let Jared in once and he wanted to do it everday afterwards. It took forever to break him of that! ah well..

Good luck with you last couple weeks!

How cute is Chase?! I love him! Ezra's sign language "I love you" looks like his fingers are all twisted. At least we mothers know what they're trying to say! I hope you're feeling okay and everything goes well with the water birth!

AnnaLynn had hiccups all the time too ;) I swear I still have phantom ones, haha! I can't believe how much chase has grown in just a few months, and you look so cute prego. It looks looks like you have a basketball up your shirt. Translation...terrific and cute prego!!

Thanks Michelle! It does kind of look like that in the picture, but in person, not so much. I'm just HUGE! Looks more like a beach ball. I hope I don't have too big of a baby. :o)
