Chase is doing well. He's very healthy and LOVES his fruits and vegetables. Literally, he's almost obsessed with them! I love that he actually eats them...devours them sometimes...but because he loves them so much he very rarely eats the main course. A lot of times I have to try and feed him the main dish before I put any veggies on his tray. Sometimes I end up giving him oatmeal just to fill him up on something. No wonder this kid is so skinny! I just hope he doesn't turn into a Vegetarian. No offense to anyone that is. I just feel that our bodies need meat in order to live well. I know growing babies definitely need that protein.
He loves to watch us cook. The other day he got a hold of my Camelback cup and started tipping it into a pan and making a spraying sound. Then he would take a wooden spoon or a spatula...or whatever cooking utensil he has gotten his hands on...and start mixing. It's so funny to watch him. He is really turning into a little man!
He doesn't say too many noticable words yet. He can jabber on and on sometimes, but no actual words. He says dada, mama and ow. I'm a little worried about it. The doctor says that he wants him to be saying at least 10 words by his next appointment. Which will be in two months. I somehow don't think that's going to happen. He does however know some signs. He knows, all gone, more, more please, please and thank you. He also understands just about everything we say to him. Should I be worried about his vocabulary? Should I try and work with him more each day? When did your kids start saying actual words?

Yay for baby #2! I'm sure you will do great...my second was so much easier because I was already adjusted to having a baby in the house! You'd be surprised how much can happen in 2 months with chase talking and I bet if you sat down and really made a list of his words there would more than you think! Let me know if you need a break from Chase to get some rest...your going to need it. I'd be happy to have him come play!
Jenn he is so precious!! I wouldn't worry about his vocab... the important thing is that he understands you more. Ezra doesn't say too many understandable words, but he does understand us, so that's all I really care about.
Him making dinner is so adorable!! Maybe he'll be a chef who will own his own restaurant chain and retire his own parents at 50? Cool! Go Chase!
Sometimes their language comes in bursts- one week they don't say much and then the next week it just clicks and they say three new words in one day. Read to him once or twice a day, point to the pictures and say their names, and just talk, talk, talk about what he's doing, what you're doing, etc. He'll get it. He's so cute. Congrats on #2!
Thanks guys! Mandi, I may take you up on that offer. Though we may not be living close by and I would hate to put you out. :o( ...Kayleen, you always talk about Ezra saying new words. Is he not really? Were you lying?? :o)....And Jenny, I can barely read a page to this kid. He has WAY too much energy! But I do try and talk to him a lot. I know he understands lots of things I tell him, so that is hopeful to me. I can't wait to hear his cute little voice saying actual words.
Conrats Jen. I am so excited for you, you will be a great mommy of two. I am actually slightly jealous right now... hopefully not for much longer!
Hooray for baby #2!!!! I'm excited for you guys!! Chase is so cute!!! :)
