Kyler is Two!!

Last month, we also celebrated our little Kyler's 2nd birthday.

We didn't have money to do a party like we normally would, so we just had a little family party. With a few dollar store gifts and birthday cupcakes.
He made his own pizza!
(Chase wasn't feeling good so he
had to miss out). :o(
With Daddy's help of course

He put all the pepperoni's in one spot
on one pizza. Haha! (Daddy's laughing in
the background if you can't see).

He fixed it...

Waiting for his cupcake!
We gave him a mini Mr. Potato Head. He
decided he wanted to use the hat himself.
Of course it was after he had stuck it on top of his cupcake.

What did I do??

I miss this chub!!
Still remember this day...

We love you so much, little ham!
Happy Birthday!!

Seven Years Ago...

So as of last month, I've been married to this goober...

Isn't he handsome??

For seven years of my life! Can't believe it's been that long. And I can't believe we've known either other over 12 years now!! We've had our ups and downs, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Marriage can be hard at times, but we've learned that as long as you work hard at it and put the other (and the Lord) first, you can get through anything. Keep your marriage strong and don't forget to laugh together.

Kylann makes me laugh every single day!

And we have a ton of fun being goofs together!

I don't know of anyone else would could put up with me and my quirks all the time. He's the greatest!

We didn't get to really go out and celebrate at all since we have no money right now. So, sorry, no pictures from the day of our anniversary. Can't remember the last date we went on actually. If anyone would like to sponsor a date for us before Kylann leaves, please feel free! ;o)

I'm so lucky to be married to my best friend for all eternity. Many more adventurous years to come! I love you, sweetheart!

Nervous...

(Just noticed this is my 100th post!! Woohoo!!)

So my hubby is leaving me for 10 weeks in less than a week and half. :o( I kind of have mixed feelings about it. But mostly I'm really getting sad and downright nervous about it. I don't know if I'm ready to be a single mom (and dad). But it's something I'm just going to have to get used to, right? I am very proud of my husband for choosing to serve our country and I admire that he wants so much to take care of his family. I'm just sad that I won't get to see him. (Selfish reasons). And nervous of being alone without my best friend around. And especially with two toddlers. ALL the time! The night time is was scares me the most. I hate being alone in a house at night. I freak out over all the noises I hear and keep expecting this to happen....

And someone to attack us all in our sleep! Gaah! I hate that feeling. I've watched too many horror movies, I think. Luckily Kylann is leaving me his pistol handy. :o\ Though I hope and pray that I never have to use it.

I'm also not looking forward to days like this one....

Which leaves me feeling like this!...

My boys are handfuls and aren't very nice to their mommy sometimes when daddy isn't around. :o( There will be lots and lots more prayers said during this time. And I think mommy will be locking herself in her room sometimes. Just to get a break. ;o)

How do military wives with kids do it?? It's definitely going to take me some time to get used. But I'm also really looking forward to a totally new experience. And possibly getting the chance to move to a different country at least once. Please keep us all in your prayers. Especially Kylann...that he will be able to get through his rigorous training. Both in basic and his AIT training. Both physically and mentally. (He's not as young as he used to be). ;o) We love you Kylann and we'll miss you more than you may realize.

Utah or Bust!

We made it! We're in Utah! Are we crazy?? I think...just a little. It feels so strange living somewhere other than Arizona. True, I grew up in NH and that will always feel like home, but I've lived in AZ for almost 13 years now so it's a HUGE change for me. And Kylann has been in AZ for about 20 years minus the two he spent on his mission. This is the first time we've been in a house with just our little family. So far, we LOVE it! I'm gonna have a hard time going back to an apartment if I ever have to again someday. The boys both have their own room, which is nice cause I can split up the toys and not have them jam packed in one room. But that just means I have two rooms to clean up toys in. Oh well, at least they are both sleeping better at night. (That was the goal). Now to get Kyler to actually take a nap in his toddler bed and not pass out on the couch at 5pm. Still working on that one. But the best part...we have a BACKYARD!!! They boys are in Heaven with that part. They'd stay outside all day if I'd let them. The problem right now is they are wanting to dig in the dirt. It's kind of hard to do with grass. ;o) Luckily we found an old sandbox on freecycle that we brought home. Still waiting for it to dry up a little. The wood is falling apart. And it snowed yesterday, so that didn't help with getting it set up. :o( We bought a tarp to cover up the wood with. Just so it's not so yucky when we put the sand in. I really hope this'll help with them trying to dig up the yard.

The ward seems nice. We met a couple of people our first Sunday, including our neighbor behind us and across the street from us. That is one thing that's gonna take awhile to get used to, SO many Mormons. Most of which live down the street. Kylann leaves in less than a week and a half and I'm really hoping that I make a good friend out here. (Preferably before he leaves). It's going to be really lonely here otherwise.

The house isn't put together as much as I'd like, just have to work with what little decorations I have. That'll just have to wait until we have an income coming in.

Oh and the week we got here, it snowed just about everyday. The kids had a blast with it though. Well, mostly Chase. Kyler was usually "trying to nap" while Chase was outside. And when he came out of his room, the snow was almost completely melted.

Kyler has been deciding he's too old for naps lately. As a result he sometimes passes out while eating dinner. This is how he slept on my lap after I got him out of his chair. Crazy kid!

Some pictures from our LONG drive out here...

Our gigantic 24ft truck!!

Driving through bedtime...

Can't tell too well, but he had eaten
a bunch of cheetos right before he fell
asleep. Haha!
Chase thought his brother looked pretty funny
Mr. C was making his puppy poop! Boys...

And laughing at it...
Too much laughing exhausted him...
Ugh!! Still a long drive...(I may or may not have taken these while driving. ;o) I was safe-ish, don't worry.)
The first of many LDS churchs we were to see in UT...

We crossed the border!! Finally!

First temple we saw....I think it was an LDS
temple anyway.

They LOVED it!!

First experience in the snow! Just a small patch of snow we found in front of a Burger King in Cedar City.

Here is one video of them. They were so cute!

These boys love it here!
My little men!

Our last visit with Grandma Penrod before we moved

Some videos from when we were living at my father in-law's house. We lived there for a short time before we moved.

Kyler was scared of the car wash.

Any old friends that are living in Utah, or visiting, I'd LOVE to meet up with you sometime!! Or you're welcome to stay here. We have a guest room. Just send me a message!
