Our First "Broken" Bone

We've never had a trip to the ER and we've never had so much as an ear infections except for a tiny one with Kyler that didn't seem to bother him at all. Guess it was about time for one of my kids to break something. ;o) Though it's only a minor buckle fracture in his radial bone. He fell off the TV stand. Both him and his brother climbed up at the same time and when I went to tell them to get down, I think he caught his foot or something and landed his wrist on his empty toy box. He screamed!!! Never really heard him cry like that, so I knew he really got hurt. Though nothing was swelling after that and it didn't seem to bother him at all unless it was touched in a certain spot. I wanted to wait it out for at least a day. After two days of this, I kind of wanted to get it checked out since I know fractures sometimes aren't visible on the outside. Took him in on Monday to get x-rayed and they confirmed what I thought. It's a very mild fracture and will only take about three weeks to heal. Thankfully. So far, it doesn't seem to bother him. He's a brave little man. ;o)

Haha! She wasn't trying to block her face. She was just showing us that he can still move his arm like this. Perfect timing, huh?

Getting the color on. Really wish he hadn't picked out bright orange, but there's no changing this kids' mind. LOL

He likes it! lol...Wonder how long that'll last.

Getting more wrapping done to make it waterproof.

Make it and Love it Giveaway

How cool would it be if you could actually see how you slept at night?! One of my favorite blog sites is doing a giveaway for this device. You strap it to your forehead before you go to sleep and it tracks your sleep habits. I would LOVE to actually see how much sleep I'm getting. Crazy cool in my opininon!

Talk on Gratitude

So my husband and I have a give a talk in church in a few weeks. Ugh!! I thank my husband for saying yes when I wasn't there. I don't remember the last time I gave a talk and I usually try and avoid it at all costs. I have a huge fear of getting up in front of people. It actually makes me so stressed out sometimes, I get sick. Plus, I'm really not very good at giving lessons or talks. I always feel so inadequate with what little knowledge I feel I have.

Anyways, I just wondered if you all had a favorite talk, lesson, quote or book that you could recommend to me. And also maybe a fun way to start a talk. That usually makes me a little more comfortable to start out that way. Please??
