New and Old Pictures

I finally pulled the pictures from my phone off and got them on my computer. Some are a few months old, but I thought I would share.

Both times he had just woken up! Haha! Love the hair, Chase!

This was taken when he was about 5 months I think. I know, I'm such a mean mom! Haha!

I thought it was funny. He got stuck! Don't worry I helped him out right after I snapped the picture. :)

What's cooking? Chase LOVES to climb into things! He also loves to pull out the pots and pans. The second picture is when we were house sitting. I caught him sitting in the frying pan and I grabbed my phone as fast as I could to snap a picture. Too bad I didn't have the real camera, but I don't think it turned out too bad. The first pic is a little compartment on our couch.

Climbing in the cabinet to pull out the Tupperware...And he got into the Desitin when I wasn't looking.

Jobs and Housing

I'm not gonna lie, our life is full of stresses right now. But so far we are getting by pretty well. The Lord is still blessing us in many ways.

At the end of June we finished up house-sitting for a friend who took a Sabatical to Australia. We were there for four months. It was a HUGE blessing for us as we were able to put Chase in his own room and finally after 10 months of waking up every two hours, he started sleeping through the night. Woohoo! Plus we got to have a place of our own again for some time. For about two years we have had to live with family because of Kylann getting laid off and me having to quit my job to stay home with Chase. As of right now, we are staying in Kylann's mom's old house. She is paying the utilities for us until the end of July. So we need to find our own place again by August 1st. Which means, I will be working once again. I have been trying to find a part-time job that will pay enough for us to afford rent on a place. I have a job interview this Thursday and I am praying that it goes through. If not, I will have to keep plugging along. We are lucky that Kylann has a job that gets him home by 1:30 everyday. So we won't have to put Chase in Daycare.

Kylann is working on the last process of get into the Border Patrol. They have finished his background check and he just recently took a Polygraph test. We have yet to hear the results from that. We are hoping and praying that he passed and they will accept him into the academy. Please keep us in your prayers as we truly need this job!

Chase finally was able to go in for his one year checkup since we finally got on AHCCCS. Poor kid did NOT like the shots this time. He's always done pretty good with shots and only cried for about a second or so, but he was very unhappy about these ones. Plus our insurance required us to get blood work for him his year mark. He cried through the whole thing. He even started crying before they put the needle in. I felt so bad for him! I almost cried myself. He just looked up at me, like, "Momma, save me!" But he's a tough kid and was over it pretty fast. He zonked out when we got home.

It has been over a 100 degrees the past few weeks and we are dying!! On days like these we really wish we were living in a cooler climate. The swamp cooler in this house is broken and it has gotten over 90 degrees in the house! Both Kylann and I get hot very easily. Luckily we have an AC unit in our bedroom so we can sleep at night. Kylann has been trying to clean out the cooler and get it running a little better for us. It has helped a lot and it's probably about 10 degrees lower now. We have four fans running on Chase at night so he can sleep comfortably. I wish we could keep him in our room where it's a ton cooler, but he just won't sleep with us in the same room. Stinker! Luckily he stays pretty comfortable and sleeps well with all of those fans on him.

Other than that, we are just trying to get by with what little we have. We are grateful for friends and family that have done what they can to help us out. And we are especially grateful to the Lord for giving us what we have.
